A Short Letter to Allah
Dear Allah,
clear my mind of everything save the thoughts of You
empty my heart of everything save the longing for You
fill my emptiness with nothing but the sufficiency of knowledge
soothe my loneliness with nothing but the promise that You will never forsake me,
Your helpless servant so much in need of Your Compassion do not reject my pleas, ya Ilahi
do not turn me away, ya Rabbi
do not cast me off Your Path do not leave me stranded without Your Love.
